Research overview
Morgan researches time-to-digital converters under the joint supervision of Leonard MacEachern and Masum Hossain in Electronics. TDCs translate timing relationships into digital codes and require the circuit, clock, layout, calibration, and measurement system to be considered together.
Her project sits at the intersection of precise mixed-signal timing and implementation-aware verification.
Industry experience
At Lumentum, Morgan worked in FPGA and hardware verification for optoelectronic products. Her experience includes:
- Photodiode, transimpedance-amplifier, and TOSA validation

- Product-oriented measurement and verification
Integrated-circuit and project background
Morgan’s IC coursework included schematic, layout, DRC/LVS, and simulation work in GlobalFoundries 45 nm and TSMC 65 nm design contexts. As a capstone lead, she worked on a mixed-signal interface for a memristor crossbar, connecting analog circuitry, programmable control, and neuromorphic hardware.
Current direction
