The pathway remains 21.0 credits, ELEC 3907 remains the standard EE Engineering Project, ELEC 4909 replaces ELEC 4907 one-for-one in the Year 4 capstone slot, and the four existing Year 4 engineering elective slots are used by ELEC 4CPO, ELEC 4SPD, one approved Basket A selection, and one approved Basket B selection. The compulsory core already spans both photonics and optoelectronics, while the approved baskets provide controlled additional depth.

How to Use The Schedule Interface

  1. Choose a pathway at the top: Base EE or Photonics and Optoelectronics.
  2. Use subject filters (MATH, ELEC, SYSC, ECOR, STREAM) to focus the map. Filters stack, click again to remove one, or use ALL to clear them.
  3. Click any course card to inspect dependencies: selected course, prerequisite chain, and unlocked downstream courses are highlighted.
  4. Click the same course again, or use Reset View, to clear the dependency view.
  5. In the stream pathway, the STREAM filter reveals stream-specific courses.

Course Color Legend

  • Blue - offerings outside of our Faculty of Engineering and Design (e.g. Math, Physics)
  • Purple - common core courses, offered within our Faculty of Engineering and Design (could be offered by any particular Department)
  • Orange - our standard EE courses offered by the Department of Electronics
  • Orange filled - new stream-specific courses to be offered by the Department of Electronics
  • Green - existing EE pathway courses taught outside the Department of Electronics

Dependency highlight legend: green highlights are prerequisites, orange highlights are courses unlocked by the selected course.
